Scarecrow season is in full swing, and people in Groby are preparing for their annual Scarecrow Festival.

Each year a themed scarecrow festival comes to village, and this year's theme, in collaboration with Groby Scouts, is 'Back to the 80's'.

Special moment for young Katy Perry fan Molly - BBC Sounds

Molly from Wigston was diagnosed with Cerebal Palsy in 2003 - and her family were told that she may not be able to walk, or talk again.

Reform UK confirm new deputy county council leader - BBC Sounds

103 year old Nora achieves her glider flight dream - BBC Sounds

103-year-old Nora Gilliver has achieved her dream of a glider flight over Leicestershire.

When asked how she wanted to celebrate her birthday, Nora said she wanted to go skydiving. Although that wasn't possible, the former Land Army veteran decided on the next best thing - a glider flight.

Mural painted at Barrow station to 'brighten the place up'

A fence has been decorated at Barrow-upon-Soar railway station by more than 90 volunteers in a bid to make the station "more welcoming".
